Niche.com Lists High Tech Third in Its Ranking of Most Diverse High Schools in New Jersey

(Pittsburgh, PA—May 1, 2015) Niche.com, formerly known as College Prowler, which ranks and reviews K-12 schools, colleges, cities, and neighborhoods, recently published its ranking of “100 Most Diverse High Schools in New Jersey,” listing High Tech third in the Garden State, announced Dr. Joseph Giammarella, Principal of High Tech High School.

High Tech, a public school located in North Bergen, hosts 618 students in grades 9-12.  Based on the New Jersey Department of Education’s standards, 95% of High Tech students have proven their proficiency in math and/or reading.  On its website, Niche.com received 126 reviews about High Tech, most of which have been positive.

“Most Diverse Public High Schools” ranks 9,538 high schools based on diversity statistics and more than 1.1 million opinions from 250,000 students and parents. A high ranking indicates that the school is extremely diverse and fosters a community that accepts and promotes a diversity of viewpoints, backgrounds, religious beliefs, and sexual orientations.
