(Northvale,
NJ—May 27, 2015) Sophomore French students took the opportunity to enjoy a
lovely lunch at Madeleine's Petit Paris, announced Dr. Joseph Giammarella, Principal
of High Tech High School.
Earlier
this school year, French students participated in Café Chic, a combination of a French-inspired fashion show and
bistro. The money that the French students raised from Café Chic subsidized the trip and the lunch at Madeleine's Petit Paris.
The
lunch at Madeleine's Petit Paris consisted of a three-course meal. The choice of starters included soupe à l'oignon (onion soup), soupe de champignons (mushroom soup), and
salade du jardin (garden salad). As for the choices for the main course, poulet français (French chicken), poisson du jour (fish of the day:
salmon), and pates provençales
(Provence pasta) fit the bill. Mousse au chocolat (chocolate mousse)
and crème brulee rounded out the dessert menu.
“Madeleine's
Petit Paris is a beautiful restaurant,” says Abigail Lopez, a sophomore at High
Tech and a student of French. “It was
great to experience a slice of French culture outside of school.”
