(San Rafael, CA—May
11, 2015) Edutopia, an online community site sponsored by the George Lucas
Education Foundation, will publish four videos produced by High Tech students
under the “Schools That Work” section on Wednesday, May 20th, announced Dr.
Joseph Giammarella, Principal of High Tech High School.
High Tech’s “case
study” page, to be displayed at http://www.edutopia.org/schools-that-work, will
feature these four videos, plus written content and resources for each. Following that, they will be published, one
by one, during the last week of May on YouTube.
Edutopia’s Social Media team then starts promoting the videos, including
publishing them on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, to reach many people.
Edutopia emphasizes core strategies, such as project-based learning;
comprehensive assessment; integrated studies; social and emotional learning;
educational leadership and teacher development; and technology integration, to transform K-12 education so all
students can thrive in their studies, careers, and adult lives. By illuminating and showcasing what works in
education, Edutopia illustrates how people can adopt best practices and share
stories of innovation and learning in the real world. Lucas
Education Research develops and evaluates methods that profoundly
impact learning and lifelong achievement, striving for quality, replicability,
and scalability.
