(Jersey City, NJ—May 30, 2015) The 41st
annual NJ Young Filmmaker’s Festival, sponsored by the Thomas A. Edison Media
Arts Consortium at New Jersey City University, has cited Steven Chicas and Koby Garcia of West
New York and Tyler Law of Bayonne for their outstanding work, announced Dr.
Joseph Giammarella, Principal of High Tech.
“The Final Bell,” a short about a kid being chased by a malicious demon, earned Third Prize in the High School category. Also, “TV PRO PSA,” a parody on Sarah McLachlan's ASPCA public service message about animal abuse, received
Honorable Mention in the same category.
"These video productions took a lot more time than we expected," says Chicas, who will be attending Rutgers for computer science in the fall, "but the fruits of our labors paid off."

"It was a wonderful experience to watch our videos being screened in a film festival setting," says Garcia, who will be attending Seton Hall for film production.
"We thoroughly enjoyed the response from the audience at the festival," says Law, who will be attending The College of New Jersey for communication studies. "It inspired us to create even more challenging work in the future."
