Set against the backdrop of the Manhattan skyline, the Golden Door International Film Festival serves as a four-day film festival for filmmakers, actors, and crew to network with colleagues and share their work with the public in the heart of the indie filmmaking landscape. The name “Golden Door” originates from the Emma Lazarus poem, which adorns the base of the Statue of Liberty and whose final line reads, “I lift my lamp beside the golden door.”
“It is a great honor to be accepted into the film festival, especially for animation,” notes Krinsky, a veteran teacher at High Tech.
