On May 22nd, Theatre Arts and Musical Theatre
students from our school participated in the Alliance of Teen Artists Festival
which took place at New Jersey City University. The students presented a scene and
two monologues for the Small Group Drama Division, a song for the Small Musical
division, and two larger numbers for the Large Group Musical Theatre and the
Large Group Drama Division. Each performance was followed by a very useful
critique by NJCU Musical Theatre professors.
We are thrilled to announce that County Prep Sophomore Tyla
Gibson won the Judges Award for her outstanding acting performance of a monologue
from the screen play Persona by Igmar Bergman!
Other participants to the Festival were Seniors Kyle
Velazquez, Katherine Castro, Julio Velazquez, Matthew Riccardi, Terrell Wehner,
