students in the Butterfly Effect Club, a club
designed to spread awareness and fundraise for people with developmental
disabilities, visited the Hudson View Care & Rehab Center to share Season’s
Greetings, announced Dr. Joseph
Giammarella, Principal of
High Tech.
Under the supervision of club advisor Jamie
Velazquez, students brought two large bins of holiday crafts to share with patients
for several hours. Students worked
one-on-one with the patients, customizing stockings, holiday cards, and
ornaments.
“The trip was a very rewarding for both the
students and the patients,” says Velazquez, who also teaches history at High

return as soon as possible.”
